If you still worry about the language difference, then buy an which can translate and pronounce in both languages. The sense that it translates is understandable, we checked. It will definitely help you during the trip.

If you decided to visit Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan or CIS you should do the next steps:
- Obtain a Visa to the country where you are going to.
- Reserve a hotel in the city where you are going to stay.
- Buy a ticket. At this point some problems can be met.
- If your tour operator can’t sell you the ticket directly to the planned city, and that city is far from the arrival airport, then you can buy the ticket after arrival in Russia. If you are going to meet with Your Russian Bride, then you can ask her to meet you at the airport of the arrival city.
- After arrival you should always keep your passport, visa, hotel ticket with you whenever you go. If a policeman stops you sure he wants to see these documents. If you can not provide them, then you will be fined. The fine can differ from $20-50.

In the most cities of Russia credit cards are accepted, still you can exchange money in the exchange places or banks. Sometimes you can be offered by a man or a woman to exchange money with a better rate on the street usually they stand at the legal money exchange places, do not agree, it is illegal operation and you can be cheated. You will need a passport for exchange operations.

Our recommendation exchange some dollars before traveling to Russia, you will need some change to pay for taxi, cafe etc. $100-200 should be enough. You can also change the travelers checks in the banks.

Crime

Russia as any other country has crime, but usually what forefingers can worry about is a pocket thieves. That happens in every big city in any country. The state taxi is a taxi with black and white square block on the top of the car. There is no big difference what kind of taxi you use. You can use public transportation it is cheaper but difficult to use when you don’t know the route.

Services

Make sure that your telephone is supporting roaming around the world, if not, then you can buy a new sim card in Russia and use the cell phone. In big cities is easier to find the phone box, in little it can be a problem. You should know that 24 hours a day you can use a ‘Telegraph’ and send a telegram or give a call to any country. Usually it is cheaper then from the hotel room. Internet cafe is almost in every city even in small towns. If you wish to use the telephone box on the street then you have to buy the card or a token at the post office, telegraph or a newspaper stall. Usually in hotels you can use launderette service but it will be expensive. But you should be ready if such services will be absent.
